2014 – unser erstes volles Geschäftsjahr – ist vorüber. Wir sind zufrieden, auch wenn es natürlich noch viele Dinge gibt, die wir verbessern und ausbauen können.
Mit der Teilnahme an den Saisonmärkten des Matthäusmarktes ist es uns gelungen, eine kleine Kundenbasis in der Region aufzubauen. (Für alle, die in der Region Basel wohnen und diesen Markt noch nicht kennen, es lohnt sich jede Woche dort vorbeizugehen und den Wochenmarkt zu besuchen, aber die Saisonmärkte sind richtige Erlebnisse, mit Cafés, Wettbewerben, Spielen für Kinder etc.)
Neben vielen Stunden in der Färbeküche, wo wir mit neuen Farben und neuen Färbungen experimentiert haben, war das Textilpiazza Festival sicher ein weiterer Höhepunkt dieses Jahres. Es war toll, das Interesse an den ausgestellten Spindeln, zum Spinnen und Wollvorbereitung im Allgemeinen zu erfahren. Und auch unser Workshop Einführung ins Spinnen mit der Handspindel wurde mehrmals durchgeführt.
Aber all das wäre nichts gewesen, ohne Euch:
- unseren KundInnen und Fans, die unsere Garne kaufen, damit wundervolle Sachen stricken und häkeln.
- den Spinn/Stricktreff-BesucherInnen, die uns oft wertvolles Feedback geben.
- Åsa Tricosa, die uns erlaubte, ihr Design Tric in unserem Tric Kit zu verwenden.
- Den OrganisatorInnen vom Matthäusmarkt, damit die Saisonmärkte zustande kommen.
- Den OrganisatorInnen von der Textilpiazza, die ein unglaublich riesiges Event auf die Beine gestellt haben (und hoffentlich wieder tun werden).
- last, but not least unsere Partnern und Familien, die mit viel Unterstützung und Verständnis woolworxx überhaupt erst möglich gemacht haben.
Darum:
Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön Euch allen!
Auch der obligate Ausblick ins 2015 soll nicht fehlen:
- Wir werden auch im 2015 an den Saisonmärkten vom Matthäusmarkt teilnehmen (sofern wir Platz bekommen, was wir natürlich sehr hoffen).
- Wir versuchen, unser Kursangebot auszubauen
- und vor allem werden wir weiterhin färben – neue Farben, neue Färbungen, andere Garne, aber auch vermehrt Kits sind in Planung.
Kurz und gut – wir freuen uns auf 2015 und wünschen allen ein gesundes, glückliches und kreatives neues Jahr!

2014 – our first full business year – is over! We are quite happy with it, even if we can improve and evolve a lot.
Beeing at the Matthäusmarkt enabled us to gain a small customer base in the region (For all of you who don’t know the market – it is worth to go there every week to get fresh regional food, but the season markets are a real event, with café, kids events and even some competitions)
Besides a lot of time spent in our “dye kitchen” where we dyed and experimented a lot, one of the highlights this year was the Textilpiazza festival. It was great to experience the interest in the spindles and in handspinning and preparation of the wool in general. We even could run our workshop Introduction into handspinning with handspindle more than once.
But all of this would not be much without you:
- our customers and fans which craft beautiful objects out of our yarns.
- the visitors of the spinntreff, who give valuable and estimated feedback
- Åsa Tricosa who allowed us to use her design Tric for our Tric Kit.
- the organisators of the Matthäusmarkt who work a lot to enable the seasonal markets
- the organisators of the Textilpiazza Festival who created an amazing festival (and hopefully will again)
- and last but not least our partners and families who first made woolworxx possible with their understanding and support.
Therefore:
A big hearty thank you to all of you!
Of course the looking forward is not to be missed:
- we will attend the seasonal markets of the Matthäusmarket again (if they accept us, which they hopefully will).
- we would like to grow our workshop offering
- and of course we continue to dye – new colors, new creations, different yarns and probably more kits.
To make a long story short – we are looking forward to 2015 and wish you a healthy, happy and creative 2015!
